چکیده
Introduction Limb-salvage surgery has become the mainstream approaches for treatment of sarcoma in lower extremity. In cases where infiltrates primary vessel, concurrent resection vessels and vascular reconstruction are required to ensure sufficient preservation limb function. The objective this study is assess clinical outcomes patients who underwent utilizing synthetic grafts salvage, specifically terms postoperative complications functional status. Methods Between September 2016 October 2021, 15 consecutive arterial 3 venous procedures were included retrospective study. Incidence morbidity, graft patency, rate overall survival analyzed. Results median follow-up was 12.5 months (range, 4.5-72.0). Graft thrombosis occurred 5 (33.3%) occlusion (20.0%). 28.0 with estimated 2-year 5-year 57.8% 43.4% respectively. 1-year patency rates reconstructions 82.3% 62.1%, None amputation observed as a consequence severe complications, while two due repeat recurrence, resulting salvage 86.7%. Conclusion Our results show that combination oncologic feasible option preserving limbs musculoskeletal vessel involvement When performed, substitutes can be effectively used low perioperative morbidity an acceptable salvage.

Abstract P12: Functional Outcomes Following Soft Tissue Reconstruction and Attempted Limb Salvage After Lower Extremity Trauma
PSRC Abstract Supplement P oter P rofs RESULTS: 358 breasts underwent reconstruction before protocol implementation and 135 afterwards. Patients were similar in terms of demographics and surgical characteristics. There was a significantly reduced incidence of clinically relevant infection after protocol implementation (10.1% to 2.9%, p= 0.009). Logistic regression analysis confirmed that the pr...
متن کاملDeployment after limb salvage for high-energy lower-extremity trauma.
BACKGROUND Many wounded warriors experienced high-energy lower-extremity trauma (HELET) that may be limb threatening. Volumetric muscle loss, posttraumatic osteoarthritis, nerve injuries, and pain may severely limit physical function. Several wounded warriors express a strong desire to return to their units and be deployed in their original military occupational specialty. We began the return-t...
متن کاملLATE EMBOLECTOMY FOR LIMB OR KNEE SALVAGE IN ACUTE LOWER LIMB ISCHEMIA: A NEW PROTOCOL
Embolectomy has long been the gold standard for treating limbs acutely threatened by arterial occlusion. Delayed embolectomy has not been investigated adequately due to the belief that accompanying mortality and morbidity render the case futile. Following our previous experience with late arterial repair for leg or knee salvage I we applied the same principle to limbs threatened with prolo...
متن کاملThe Military Extremity Trauma Amputation/Limb Salvage (METALS) study: outcomes of amputation versus limb salvage following major lower-extremity trauma.
BACKGROUND The study was performed to examine the hypothesis that functional outcomes following major lower-extremity trauma sustained in the military would be similar between patients treated with amputation and those who underwent limb salvage. METHODS This is a retrospective cohort study of 324 service members deployed to Afghanistan or Iraq who sustained a lower-limb injury requiring eith...
متن کاملClinical Outcomes after Microdiscectomy for Recurrent Lumbar Disk Herniation: A Single-Center Study
Background: Revision discectomy is the principal procedure for recurrent lumbar disk herniation (RLDH). The clinicaloutcomes after this procedure are as good as or slightly poorer than those produced by primary discectomy. In thisstudy, the clinical outcomes of patients treated with microsurgical discectomy for RLDH were analyzed. Methods: We examined 179 patients undergoing lumbar microdiscecto...
